How stories are used

Stories are handled carefully.

Stories help identify patterns in emergency and specialist veterinary care access. Public pages should not include names, contact details, raw stories, or identifying details.

Patterns, not exposure

A story may be read and grouped into themes such as care needed, cost barriers, insurance issues, outcomes, and what would have helped.

What stays private

Names, contact details, raw stories, exact locations, vet names, insurer names, claim numbers, and identifying details are not public.

Anonymous quotes

Anonymous quotes require permission and human review. If a quote could identify someone, it should not be used publicly.

Not an advice or support service

The project cannot help with current vet bills or give veterinary, insurance, legal, or financial advice. If a pet is in emergency care now, speak directly with the vet or emergency hospital.
